In 2019, Initium Health established its nonprofit arm, Initium Cares, to provide infrastructure support to communities seeking to address structural barriers to their safety, health, and wellbeing. As a fiscal sponsor, Initium Cares leverages the acumen of its for-profit arm to help improve the efficacy of those with lived experiences seeking to self-organize to improve the conditions within their communities. Initium Cares provides the back-office services to community-based organizations freeing them up to focus on their mission driven activities.
Initium Cares is seeking to move deeper into the communities most impacted by the inequities giving them the structural foundation upon which to amplify their voice and grow their programs. We are committed to reducing health inequities to improve human health, but we know that we need the community to help us reach our goals. Initium Cares aims to address the social determinants of health through the use of health informatics, behavioral health, economics, and incorporating non-clinical interventions into practices.

Initium Cares is well positioned to provide the well needed infrastructure and strategic focus to support communities in their efforts to self-manage and mobilize around two key areas: anti-violence initiatives and reducing health disparities.
Each activity of Initium Cares will further its mission and purpose. The health of the communities, including those who are traditionally underserved, will improve as Initium Cares develops tailored partnerships to address social determinants of health and works with organizations to increase their service capacity.
Get Involved
Initium Health works on national and regional levels to influence and improve health care delivery through presentations, panel discussions, and key notes delivered throughout the country. Initium Cares will leverage the experience and resources of Initium Health for its charitable activities.
